INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana –The Delta Chi International Fraternity is thrilled to introduce its newest addition, Kristen Kardas (Delta Delta Delta), as the Director of Education. Kardas brings a wealth of expertise and experience in student affairs and the fraternal industry. In her role as the Director of Education, Kardas will oversee the Fraternity’s leadership programs and educational initiatives, further enhancing the member experience.
“With over a decade of industry experience, Kristen’s thoughtful and purposeful approach to empowering fraternity and sorority members to reach their full potential will be an invaluable asset to the Delta Chi team,” expressed Heather Lockwood, Delta Chi’s Chief Marketing & Experience Officer. “Kristen has been a catalyst for progress and innovation within numerous international organizations and their educational endeavors. We consider ourselves exceptionally fortunate to have her join the International Headquarters (IHQ) staff, where she will continue to elevate the Delta Chi Fraternity.”
Kardas is from Avon, CT and has worked as a campus-based fraternity and sorority advisor at Ohio University and Indiana State University. Kardas also works for CAMPUSPEAK, Inc. as a Lead Interactive Workshop Facilitator, delivering the Alcohol Skills Training Program for several national fraternities and sororities. In addition, Kardas volunteers with her sorority, Delta Delta Delta, and has held numerous volunteer roles with NASPA’s Fraternity/Sorority Knowledge Community, the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors (AFA), and the Association of Fraternal Leadership and Values (AFLV).
Kardas received her Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Adelphi University and her Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She currently lives in Terre Haute, IN with her husband, stepdaughter, and cat. Kardas will officially assume her role as part of the Delta Chi IHQ team on September 15, 2023, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the Fraternity.
