IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Delta Chi Fraternity is pleased to announce that Jake Tomlin, Florida State ’15, has been named the Director of Fraternity Services, as announced by Executive Director Jerod Breit. Tomlin returns to the Delta Chi IHQ staff, having previously served as the Director of Publications and as a Leadership Consultant.
“I attribute much of who I am today to my experiences as an undergraduate member and alumnus of Delta Chi,” Tomlin said. “The Fraternity has always found a way to invest in me, as a student, as a leader, and as a professional. I am ecstatic to be rejoining the Headquarters team to support an incredible team of consultants and a premier undergraduate fraternity experience.”
A native of Florida, Tomlin attended The Florida State University where he joined Delta Chi. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communication while holding several officer positions in his chapter. Tomlin served as the “E”, “F”, Associate Member Counselor, Recruitment Chairman, and Chartering Chairman.
“I am extremely excited to welcome Jake Tomlin as the newest edition to our Headquarters Staff,” Breit said of the hiring. “His experience, outlook on innovation, and dedication to Delta Chi will provide top notch services to our chapters and consulting team.”
Upon graduation, Tomlin was hired as a Leadership Consultant, working with several undergraduate chapters and serving on two expansion teams. He later transitioned into the Director of Publications role, managing the content and distribution of the Delta Chi Quarterly along with additional marketing and communications projects. Additionally, Tomlin has served the Fraternity as a volunteer facilitator for multiple Regional Leadership Conferences, the “A”s’ Academy, and the Emerging Leaders Academy.
Tomlin completed his master’s degree in College Student Affairs Administration from the University of West Florida (UWF) and served as a campus-based professional, advising the Panhellenic Community at UWF and most recently serving as the Coordinator for Student Activities and Sorority & Fraternity Life at Elmhurst College. While at Elmhurst, he was responsible for the oversight of the fraternity and sorority community on campus, boasting ten chapters and 400 students while implementing campus-wide programming initiatives.
In his free time, Jake enjoys distance running, researching, and reading about social justice issues, politics, and college student development. He is incredibly excited to rejoin Delta Chi Headquarters team as the Director of Fraternity Services and continue his work for the Fraternity.
