DELTA CHI SUPPORTS PEDIATRIC CANCER RESEARCH FOR 2023-2024 ACADEMIC YEAR

INDIANAPOLIS, IN- The Delta Chi International Fraternity is proud of raising over $2 million for the V Foundation for Cancer Research since 2006. During the 2023-2024 academic year, all fundraising efforts will be dedicated to the Dick Vitale Pediatric Cancer Research Fund, a specialized fund within the V Foundation that focuses on improving treatment options and finding cures for childhood cancers.

More than 15,000 children and adolescents are diagnosed with cancer in the United States each year and Delta Chi is dedicated to making a difference. These children and young adults could be our siblings, friends, or even our brothers. Supporting the Dick Vitale Pediatric Cancer Research Fund will provide our members with the opportunity to raise money for research focused specifically on children ages 0-19 who are affected by cancer.

“Cancer affects far too many children and families each year, and we are committed to funding the most innovative pediatric cancer research that will make a lasting impact,” said Shane Jacobson, Chief Executive Officer of the V Foundation for Cancer Research. “Delta Chi is a longstanding partner of the V Foundation, and we are honored to have their continued support in the year ahead with a focus on improving the lives of the youngest cancer patients through the Dick Vitale Pediatric Cancer Research Fund.”

Minimal federal funding is allotted to pediatric cancer research, making private funding like grants from the V Foundation essential. Delta Chi’s donations will enable researchers to reduce the long-term side effects of cancer and its treatments, create therapies designed specifically for children, and give the gift of time to children and their families suffering from this horrible disease.

Through contributions to this fund, Delta Chi is committed to supporting children like Noah Reeb, who, with the help of his sports idol, fought and beat brain cancer. Check out his story and read about how his strength and determination inspires others.

The V Foundation has awarded more than $68.1 million in pediatric cancer research grants through the Dick Vitale Pediatric Cancer Research Fund. This year, help Delta Chi contribute by donating directly to the Dick Vitale Pediatric Research Fund or by hosting a fundraiser on your campus or local community.
