2025 Student Application - Due by December 6th
Each year the Fraternal Government Relations Coalition (FGRC) provides the opportunity for collegiate fraternity and sorority members to directly engage in the federal legislative process by lobbying on issues of importance to our community.
Interested students can fill out the application below. Successful applicants will be notified by the NIC in early January 2025.
FGRC is seeking outstanding campus and chapter leaders to participate in the 2025 FGRC Capitol Hill Visits with lawmakers and their staffs on April 1–2, 2025, to advocate for government relations platforms developed by NPC and NIC. These topics include protecting student freedom of association rights, creating national anti-hazing laws, and improving college affordability. You should not apply if you feel uncomfortable advocating for these legislative issues.
The goals of the visits are to provide a premier student development experience and advance the legislative agendas developed by NPC and NIC.
Characteristics of Students FGRC is Seeking:
- Geographic Diversity: Typically, one male and one female student from each state are selected. Students from the west, northern plains, and New England are particularly encouraged to apply.
- Leadership Experience: The best Hill Visit participants are those who are current leaders on campus, can speak on behalf of other students due to their elected position, and are interested in government and/or politics.
- Year in School: Students who are in their junior or senior year of college are preferred.
Expectations of Students:
If selected, students will be expected to:
- Participate in prep work leading up to the visits, including reading materials about legislative priorities and attending virtual training sessions.
- Be on-site in Washington, D.C., for in-person training and practice on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
- Participate in meetings with lawmakers and their staff on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, which will require missing class. Students should plan accordingly and coordinate with professors in advance.

- Location: Washington, D.C.
- Cost: Delta Chi will sponsor Two Brother’s Registration of $799 per student, covering the registration fee, three nights in the host hotel, two meals on training day, and a cash stipend for two meals and transportation on lobbying day.
