INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Delta Chi is thrilled to announce a groundbreaking change to its Regional Leadership Conferences (RLCs) for 2024. In spring 2023, each of Delta Chi’s nine regional bodies voted to transform the traditional two-day RLCs into an immersive Regional Leadership Academy (RLA) format, making 2024 a year of transformative leadership experiences.
For years, Delta Chi’s nine governing Regions hosted annual leadership conferences for our active and alumni members. These two-day RLCs allowed Delta Chi active members to gather within their Region, connect with other brothers across North America, participate in professional development opportunities, engage in officer and leadership training, and vote on regional business.
This exciting new format will provide Delta Chi members the opportunity to engage in over three and a half days of leadership training. Held over the Martin Luther King Weekend (January 12-15, 2024), chapters will attend their designated RLA and participate in a brotherhood experience like no other! The Academy will commence on the evening of Friday, January 12, and conclude mid-morning on Monday, January 15, 2024. All RLAs will be held on the same weekend and participants must arrive by 6:30 PM on Friday, January 13, prior to the start of RLA.
The four Regional Leadership Academies will provide an all-encompassing, comprehensive program for Delta Chi’s chapters, delivering leadership development, recruitment training, professional development, brotherhood, and Fraternity business sessions in one place. This revolutionary shift from the previous format allows chapters to better prepare for their upcoming recruitment initiatives, kickstart their executive board experiences, and enhance their interpersonal skills.
The 2024 RLAs will include:
- The “A” s’ Academy experience
- Leadership training for all lettered officers
- Recruitment training for non-lettered officers and recruitment chairs
- Delta Chi’s Dale Carnegie Scholar Program
- Dale Carnegie training for all participants
- Recruitment training for all participants
- Risk Management training for all participants
- Delta Chi Ritual
- Brotherhood activities
- Regional business sessions
In 2024, Delta Chi’s nine RLCs will be held at four, concurrent Regional Leadership Academies (RLA):
In addition to chapter delegations alumni are encouraged to attend the RLA experience where they will participate in Ritual, the Dale Carnegie Keynote, the Recruitment Keynote from Phired Up, Fraternity business sessions, regional business sessions, and brotherhood. Alumni have several registration choices and can attend the entire program or can choose to attend sessions on Saturday and Sunday during the RLA experience. Registration is now open for all participants. Chapter “A” s and alumni can register for the 2024 RLA experience until December 15, 2023, by visiting www.deltachi.org/RLA and selecting their Regional RLA location.
Delta Chi’s transition to the Regional Leadership Academy program for 2024 marks a significant milestone in our commitment to providing unparalleled leadership experiences for our members. By consolidating our Regional Leadership Conferences into these four dynamic RLAs, we aim to empower our chapters and members like never before.
