Michigan State University is a public land-grant research university in East Lansing, Michigan, founded in 1855. MSU boasts a total undergraduate enrollment of 41,234 (fall 2024). The Delta Chi Michigan State Chapter was originally founded in 1935 and has initiated over 2,150 members. In 2018, the chapter closed after the Fraternity found that there were actions by members of the Michigan State Chapter that constituted hazing, violation of risk management policy, and failing to uphold the values and expectations of Delta Chi. The Michigan State fraternity and sorority community is made up of 56 chapters across four councils. The IFC is made up of 28 chapters with an average chapter size of 83 members (fall 2024). Delta Chi Fraternity staff have worked with campus staff, chapter alumni, and the local housing corporation to prepare for a successful return to campus.
Alex Hart, Director of Growth, “Michigan State is home to a fantastic fraternity and sorority community that offers an ideal opportunity for Delta Chi to grow and enhance the student experience for more men on campus. With decades of history on campus, we look forward to expanding this fall as Delta Chi officially returns to Michigan State.” Delta Chi staff will arrive on campus with the beginning of classes this fall. August and September will be focused on recruiting the initial class of Founding Fathers, and headquarters staff will then spend the remainder of the fall semester working with the newly established ABT, supporting the initial chapter operations and Delta Chi experience on campus.
