Heather Lockwood Promoted to Senior Director of Field Operations

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Delta Chi Fraternity and Executive Director Jerod Breit are pleased to announce the promotion of Heather Lockwood to Senior Director of Field Operations, effective as of July 12, 2019.  Lockwood previously served as the Director of Fraternity Growth.

“Heather has established herself as an asset to our Fraternity, demonstrated by her leadership of our strategic growth and management of our consulting team during the search for the Director of Fraternity Services,” Breit said.  “She has been critical in maintaining continuity of operations over the past year which directly impacted the services staff provided to our chapters and colonies.”

Since joining the International Headquarters (IHQ) staff in spring 2017, Lockwood has been instrumental in re-envisioning the organization’s growth strategy. Her work has led to an increased national presence with a 90% presentation-to-expansion invitation success rate and 12 new expansion projects on campuses across the country. During her tenure as Director of Fraternity Growth, Lockwood oversaw the organization’s growth programs and expansion management initiatives, which included developing new training programs, university and alumni relations development, and implementing strategies for promoting Delta Chi’s vision and establishing new chapters at target institutions.

Lockwood’s passion for promoting education and leadership and her time spent cultivating campus partnerships across the country has established her as an industry leader in fraternal growth. Her drive to serve and promote the values of Delta Chi has contributed to the recent progress of the Fraternity.

“With a growing demand for instant communication by our members and alumni volunteers, an increase in resources and coaching for our chapters, I look forward to seeing what Heather can accomplish with her team in the field that directly impact the Fraternity’s Strategic Initiatives and the success and sustainability of our chapters and growth.”

Lockwood holds a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech and a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from the College of William and Mary. She is a member of Kappa Delta Sorority and serves as a Chapter Advisor at Colorado State University.
