Cockrum and Parsons Hired as Coordinators of Field Operations

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana – The Delta Chi Fraternity and Executive Director, Karl Grindel, are excited to welcome Emiliegh Cockrum (M.Ed) and Kenzi Parsons (M.Ed), to the International Headquarters staff as Coordinators of Field Operations, effective May 22, 2023. Parsons and Cockrum will join the Membership Experience department under the direction of Kassi Ward, Director of Field Operations (Services).

“Emileigh and Kenzi are great additions to the team,” Grindel said. “I know they will work diligently to provide quality encouragement and support to our chapters and members.”

Cockrum is joining Delta Chi after serving as the Coordinator for Leadership & Service at the University of Missouri (Mizzou). During her time at Mizzou, she primarily advised the alternative break program, university sustainability initiatives, leadership programs, and service opportunities.

A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Cockrum attended the University of Central Missouri (UCM) where she earned her Bachelor’s degree. While there, Cockrum was an active member of Alpha Gamma Delta and served as the Vice President of Recruitment and Vice President of Member Development. Cockrum later attended the University of Kansas (KU), earning her Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration working in student housing and the University Career Center.

Prior to her time at UCM, Cockrum began her professional career as an Admissions Representative at the University of Kansas overseeing territories in southeast Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.

“I am so excited to join the staff of Delta Chi,” said Cockrum. “Working in Fraternity and Sorority Life is an area I’m very passionate about and I am ready to learn, grow, and support the members of this Fraternity!”

Parsons is a graduate of Millikin University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Arts Administration, as well as a minor in Dance and a certificate in Digital Media Marketing. While at Millikin, Parsons was an active member of Tri Delta serving as the Risk Management Chair and Vice President of Administration. Parsons continued her involvement in Tri Delta as an alumna member and is currently volunteering as a Collegiate District Officer with the organization.

After her time at Millikin, Parsons returned to her home state to pursue her master’s in Higher Education Administration at the University of Kansas. During her graduate studies, she worked in professional roles with KU’s Office of Sorority and Fraternity Life, Jayhawk Academic Advising, and Financial Aid and Scholarships.

“I’m looking forward to connecting with members and supporting them in ways that encourage both chapter development and individual growth,” said Parsons. “I’m excited about the opportunity to use my prior educational and professional experiences to help create an impact with the members, alumni, and staff of Delta Chi.”

Ward is excited for both Emileigh and Kenzi to join the Field Operations team. “Emileigh received high acclaim from Delta Chi members while facilitating at “A”‘s Academy and RLC this year, so I know our students will love working with her as a staff member,” said Ward. “Kenzi has a strong commitment to student support and success. Her advising experience and leadership qualities are a great addition to our team. Both Emileigh and Kenzi’s enthusiasm and dedication will help elevate the Delta Chi experience for our active members.”
