Update Chapter/Colony Rosters Prior to October 14

IOWA CITY, Iowa – On October 15th, all chapters and colonies will be billed for Fall membership dues at the rate of $68 per man, with a reduced per man rate for colonies based on the date of first initiation (see Delta Chi Law). The bill is based on the number of active, initiated members on the chapter’s/colony’s roster.  Please ensure that your chapter is registered in OmegaFi before prior to making any roster changes.

Each chapter/colony “C” will need to ensure that his chapter’s membership roster is up-to-date. This consists of going to your home page MYDCHI/Vault> Chapter Tab> Update Member Status and doing the following: changing the status of any Initiates who have gone inactive to Former Member – inactive status; changing the status of any members who are studying abroad to Alumnus – Studying Abroad status; and changing the status of any members who are no longer in school and/or have graduated to Alumnus status. If a member has returned to school for any reason and is now an active member, you will want to update his status from Alumnus to Initiate.

If you are changing the status of Former Member (Inactive) to active Initiate, you will have to do so via the individual’s record. You will select the member’s name from the roster and select Edit within the Membership Information section. Make the changes and SAVE.

It’s important that you have your chapter/colony roster up-to-date by 12 p.m. CST on October 14th at the latest. The Compass system will automatically bill based on the information in the database, and since, by virtue of this notice, there is ample time to update the information, no credits will be given after the billing.

There will also be a $10/man assessment for the Housing Initiative Assessment.  This motion was discussed and passed by the delegates seated at the 2016 Convention. The same data that is used to bill membership dues – Active, Initiated members – will be used to bill the chapters & colonies in both the fall and spring for Housing Initiatives.
