IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Delta Chi Fraternity is pleased to announce the promotion of John Charles McGeary, Colorado State Colony ’18, to Membership Coordinator, effective July 24, 2019. Brother McGeary previously served the Fraternity as a Leadership Consultant and Senior Leadership Consultant, joining the International Headquarters (IHQ) staff in July 2018.
“John Charles has been an instrumental member of the Field Operations team for the past year and I am ecstatic to have him continue his service to the Fraternity in this new capacity,” Jake Tomlin, Director of Fraternity Services, said. “He has so much to offer Delta Chi and our members, and I’m excited to see how he will continue to support our member experience as the Membership Coordinator.”
“I am always excited to watch our staff grow personally and professionally,” Jerod Breit, Executive Director and CEO, said. “John Charles has demonstrated his ability to leverage technology to benefit our chapters and I Iook forward to the assistance and relationship-building with our undergraduate brothers he’ll bring.”
Since joining the IHQ staff last summer, McGeary was part of the expansion recruitment at Virginia Tech and worked extensively with the Colorado State Colony. He has also worked with chapters throughout seven of Delta Chi’s nine regions. McGeary facilitated many workshops for chapters across the country, covering chapter operations, financial management, recruitment, and alumni relations. He looks forward to continuing to serve Delta Chi and assisting chapters and colonies in his new role.
“John Charles distinguished himself as a candidate by articulating a vision for the position that is based on communication and sustained relationships with our chapter leaders,” Aaron Wilson, Associate Executive Director and COO, said. “We look forward to seeing him build new relationships and support our chapters daily.”
