Delta Chi Announces New Interim Executive Director

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Delta Chi Executive Committee has announced that Jerod Breit, Central Missouri ’04, will take over as Interim Executive Director and Administrative Secretary after accepting the resignation of Marquez Brown, Iowa ’01.  Brown served as the Interim Executive Director for the Fraternity since February, allowing for the continued growth of Delta Chi while a national search for a permanent Executive Director continues.

“Marquez has rendered invaluable service to the Fraternity, culminating with our largest Convention ever held earlier this month in Denver, Colorado,” “AA” International President Aaron Otto, Kansas State ’98, said.  “He has chosen to pursue other professional options and we wish him the best.”

Breit joined the Delta Chi staff as the Director of Member Safety in January 2017 after a nine-year career as an Officer with the St. Louis Police Department.  During that time, he served as an Intelligence Detective, Patrolman, Field Training Officer, and as a Leader with the Mayor’s Protection Detail.  His varied and extensive background in emergency management, loss prevention, safety, investigations, conduct, and constituency outreach and programming made him an ideal match for the position’s challenges and goals.  Prior to serving his community, Breit worked in business management, marketing and sales.  As a volunteer, he worked extensively with The American Legion’s Missouri Boy’s State, a leadership and development program for emerging high school student leaders in numerous roles over the past nineteen years, including his current position as the Assistant Dean of Operations. As an undergraduate, he served the Central Missouri chapter in multiples areas, including chairmanships and New Member Education.
