IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Delta Chi Fraternity is seeking three undergraduate members to serve as interns for the upcoming A’s Academy slated for January 18-21, 2019.  Selected applicants should be available to travel during the event dates and must submit their application by November 2, 2018 for full consideration.

Ideal candidates should possess a strong work ethic, the ability to critically analyze and solve small-scale problems, previous experience in event planning and/or management, and be a member of the Delta Chi Fraternity.  Previous participation in the A’s Academy is preferable, but not required.

Selected candidates will provide both pre-program and on-site support to the professional staff members and volunteers by supporting marketing of the program through various social media outlets, assist with the recruitment of the A’s to attend the academy, make announcements to all program attendees, post and remove signage, prepare program registration materials and facilitate on-site check-in, support logistics associated with excursions and meals, and both set up and tear down audio-visual equipment.

Candidates can benefit from serving as an A’s Academy Intern by interacting with board members and volunteers, learning about program planning, marketing management, and execution, connecting with A’s from across the country, and will have their resume and professional materials reviewed by the Delta Chi Headquarters staff and volunteers.

In addition, Delta Chi will cover travel, lodging, and food costs for the duration of the program.

Please submit the A’s Academy Internship application no later than Friday, November 2, 2018 to be considered.  Applicants should be notified about their status starting early December.
