It takes a special kind of courage to run into the flames while everyone else is running out. Brother David Bentley, Albany ’92, has served as a firefighter and paramedic for Fairfax County, Virginia for over 20 years. A past Delta Chi Valor Award winner, Brother Bentley holds the rank of Captain II and supports all the members of his Battalion in maintaining their required certifications and training. In addition to responding to fire and medical emergency calls, he also serves as an adjunct instructor for the Fairfax County Fire & Rescue Academy. A graduate of the West Point Leadership program and the NoVA Leadership Development Institute, Brother Bentley also won a Bronze Medal in the World Police & Fire Games in 2015 for swimming.
