Alec Chism Added to Leadership Consultant Team

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana – The Delta Chi Fraternity is pleased to announce the addition of Alec Chism, Mississippi State ’19, as a Leadership Consultant, effective as of January 2, 2020.  Brother Chism held numerous positions as an undergraduate member and served the International Headquarters (IHQ) as a 2018 Convention Intern and a Leadership Development Intern.

“The entire IHQ team is tremendously excited to have Alec on board,” Jake Tomlin, Director of Fraternity Services, said. “He has already demonstrated commendable service to the Fraternity, both on a chapter and international level, and we are thankful he will be continuing that service moving forward. I look forward to seeing all that he will accomplish to support our member experience, and could not be more pleased that we have added another dynamic professional to our talented group of Leadership Consultants.”

Chism continues his professional career with IHQ after back-to-back summers as a Delta Chi intern.  As an undergraduate member, Chism served the Mississippi State Chapter as the Apparel Chairman, Recruitment Chairman, co-Associate Member Coordinator, Philanthropy Chairman, “E”, and served two terms as the “A”.  Chism served on the Government Relations International Committee and is a member of the Sigma Alpha Pi Honor Society.

“During his undergraduate leadership experience and time serving as a staff intern, Alec has demonstrated the characteristics we strive to develop in our members and throughout our chapters and colonies,” Jerod Breit, Executive Director and CEO, said.  “I couldn’t be more excited to have him bring his skills to our team and share his knowledge with our brothers.  Welcome aboard Brother Chism!”

Chism also served for two years on the Mississippi State Student Association and as the Vice President of Communications for the campus IFC.  He spent three years as a Freshman Year Navigator, where he mentored over 500 new students.
