Upon graduation
Becoming a brother of Delta Chi is not just something you do during your undergraduate years. Delta Chi is for life. Life changes after graduation and so does your involvement with the Fraternity, and this transition from active to alumnus member is explained through our alumni ceremony. This ceremony is the third and final step towards full understanding of the values of Delta Chi and your new role as a supporter and mentor for future generations of Delta Chi brothers.
Delta Chi will be something you can stay involved with well after you graduate, on many different levels. From going back for alumni reunions and gatherings to serving as an International Officer for the Fraternity, the ties you have to the organization are unparalleled. What you give in effort and support will be what drives Delta Chi for decades to come. You may find your biggest reward and best fraternity memories (aside from initiation) come from your involvement after graduation. The following are a few ways to stay involved and make an impact on the Fraternity as an alumnus:
- Volunteer as a "BB" (chapter advisor) or serve on an Alumni Board of Trustees.
- Join or start a local alumni chapter.
- Attend Fraternity events such as International Conventions and Regional Leadership Conferences.
- Mentor an undergraduate brother personally and/or professionally.
- Provide the Fraternity and your chapter with assistance, be it with time, money or resources.
- Become a Life Loyal Delta Chi.
