IOWA CITY, Iowa – As September begins, now is the time to plan events for the Delta Chi Week of Service, slated for October 6-13, 2018. In accordance with the Fraternity’s founding date, we recognize this week each year as a time for our chapters to host a service event in their local communities. An important part of the fraternity experience is helping others, which empowers members to grow as brothers and leaders. Delta Chi believes in developing men of high character and our hope is our members will focus their energy during this time to benefit their communities or provide for the less fortunate.
There are a few things to consider prior to planning a service event. Please visit the Delta Chi Week of Service page for a few reminders. A Week of Service kit is available in MyDChi to help build an event. Members can now create, communicate, manage and report their service events and hours through CrowdChange’s Service module, simplifying the process in comparison to past events. Members should document their event by taking pictures and videos and posting them to their respective social media pages.
We hope our chapters and colonies will take full advantage of this opportunity for service and find a way to make a lasting impression in their local communities.
